After completing her degree, Lauren took additional training to become certified in Soft Tissue Release Therapy. Since then, she has been working as a Registered Kinesiologist & Active Release Therapist in Victoria BC.

Lauren has built a wide range of skills, including:

  • fascia release, pelvic floor strengthening for pre/post pregnancy
  • aqua-therapy, functional movement training
  • elder care, and strength training.

Lauren is motivated to help others achieve and develop optimal body performance by using an integration of manual and active rehabilitation techniques; with an acute focus on the mechanisms of movement through a “whole body” holistic approach. This is conducted though studying individual’s lifestyles and/or physical challenges; determining ways of reducing or eliminating repetitive strains and overuse injuries that may be causing inflammation, chronic pain, immobility, and suppressing ones’ quality of life. Lauren grew up in Smithers, BC and is thrilled to come back and share her knowledge with her community. Lauren has a deep-rooted passion for the outdoors and using movement as an outlet for health and healing. Lauren’s passions consist of hiking, running, biking, gardening, and cooking whole-food meals that nourish the human body.
